Why the Cognitive Approach?
Our Goal is to Create Independent Thinkers and Learners
The Learning Space takes a cognitive approach to learning because this technique actually teaches students how to learn. Cognitive learning is about enabling a child to learn by using their own reason, intuition and perception. This means students use their cognitive skills to breakdown and understand information. Once students are able to understand how to use their cognitive skills and apply them to their learning, they then reach a level of metacognitive awareness which means they understand how they learn. Our goal is to create independent thinkers and learners by helping your child achieve metacognitive awareness.
The following cognitive skills are essential and taught at The Learning Space:
- Concentration

- Thinking Critically
