High School Tutoring Program Overview

Our program is designed to help teens not feel rushed or overwhelmed, ensuring they are able to absorb the course material and get the most out of their education.

The majority of our high school students come to our centres for tutoring support with their homework. Some prefer being tutored privately in the comfort of their homes with our One-on-one Online Program. We also offer a personalized program in our centres that helps students achieve better grades and become more confident students using a proactive approach.

Whether it is applying a new formula to demonstrate a mathematical principle, or writing a thesis to demonstrate an understanding of essay writing, The Learning Space assures that students will understand these new concepts and understand how and why these techniques are applied. Furthermore, if a student requires assistance in one specific subject, whether Algebra, Chemistry, Physics, Advanced Functions, Calculus or English, our teachers will provide instruction according to the subject and focus on specific strategies.

The Learning Space offers programs to children of all skill levels including remedial, basic, and advanced.

How does The Learning Space motivate students?

Students have many teachers in their lifetimes. However, only a few of these teachers they remember as being exceptionally good. These are the teachers that make students excited about learning. Our teachers challenge and encourage their students while teaching them to think “outside of the box”. At The Learning Space we believe there are four key components that make exceptional teachers: knowledge, communication, interest, and respect. We use these concepts to motivate students.

What type of time commitments are required with The Learning Space’s programs?

We require a commitment from both the parents and students to attend their scheduled classes regularly and make up any missed classes within a month. The students must be committed to working hard and willing to put forth an effort in order to see results.

Does The Learning Space offer computer based teaching or activities?

Our approach to cognitive based learning is mentor based and interactive where teaching and learning is a dialogue. We do however use computers and tablets for certain themes and subjects to supplement any teaching as needed.

Why is The Learning Space a valuable supplement to my child’s schooling?

The Learning Space focuses on building and developing your child’s cognitive skills. This will ultimately help your child learn effectively and achieve better grades, retain information for longer periods of time; perform better on tests and examinations; and develop confidence.
